We opened our shop online in 2022. In June 2024 we opened a small store on Via De La Paz across from Palisades Charter Elementary. We started Palisades Gift Shop not for monetary reasons but because we felt the power of a place that was so special to its people. The Palisades is a community of special people. It's a lifestyle, and the community is the reason why people come but they never leave. There are many cities in Los Angeles, but the unique thing about the Palisades is how much pride the locals have for their sweet little town. ​The thing every local will tell you is that they LOVE their city. The pride that people feel who are from the Palisades is like a small town from somewhere else. ​

 

Like most of the beautiful Pacific Palisades, The Palisades Gift Shop burned down in the fire in January of this year. It’s an unimaginable event that will go down in history. While we all mourn the loss of our beloved town it's up to us to keep our community alive. Sharing stories, staying connected, and showing our Pali Pride. The opportunity to serve our community by providing meaningful gifts has helped us to feel closer to everyone more than ever before. We appreciate the love and support the entire community has shown our small business, and for that we are so grateful to still have our community, both near and far. We might not be able to live in the Palisades right now, but the Palisades lives in all of us, and for that reason we are still lucky.

 

Back in the 80's a mother who lived in the Palisades came up with a phrase that described so precisely how locals feel about the Palisades. She printed it on T-shirts and sold it to locals to pay for her kids activities. It has since become the towns' most cherished motto.

 

​"If you're rich, you live in Beverly Hills. If you're famous, you live in Malibu.

If you're lucky, you live in the Pacific Palisades." ​​​
