A little update on our Fundraising Efforts...

Since our beginning in 2022 Palisades Gift Shop has always been here for the community. We opened up to be a community store, and throughout the years we have donated our time and money to many of the local schools and organizations in a variety of ways including give-back campaigns, or donations.

This year is no different, despite losing our store and rebuilding from scratch we still want to give back to our community.

We set out to raise money with our Palisades Strong sweatshirt and Palisades Forever tote with 20% of the profit going to Palisades Elementary Fire Fund.

In addition, we continue to attend events where we give back a percentage of our profits to a variety of recipients. This month we were able to hand out checks to several companies to help in fire relief, including:

Palisades Charter Elementary $2,000
Methodist Preschool $1,400

We are always here for our community and if you would like to partner with us to raise money, please reach out.

This is the first house I’ve seen up, it’s on DePauw. I could see it from far away because there’s nothing around it. I haven’t been back for a few weeks because life has felt very heavy and hard. I found this photo I took of a framed map of the Palisades in my phone while looking for some old pics. It was framed at @palisadesvetdc and I saw it while taking my dog to the vet. Zoom in to find your street! It’s pretty cool to see it all like this. I bet you didn’t know the Palisades goes all the way to Allenford where Paul Revere is! #pacificpalisades. We took our Palisades Elementary 4th grade girls to @palisadesgardencafe today as a special treat after school. We got to see a few of our friends who moved away but were back for a visit. The kids laughed like old times, the moms chatted like old times. We totally forgot about the fire until we walked back outside. Then to our surprise we saw @rickcarusola grabbing some coffee. It was a fun day. #palisadesforever

I went into town today. I usually drive around once week. I go and check on the progress of our house, check on the town, stop by the gas station to grab a snack. Today I saw a lot of progress, in particular the first commercial lots that I’ve seen cleared including the one that housed my shop, 845 Via De La Paz.

There are currently 500 houses cleared in the Palisades, come July there will be 5000 according to the Army Corps that came to a town hall at Palisades Elementary this week. It will be a whole new world by August. 🫶#palisadesgiftshop #palisadesforever

I’m still getting orders for palisades gear, I haven’t been able to sit on my computer to take down my site. I also am not sure I want to take it down yet. So much hard work just gone. But to update everyone, my store and all my inventory is completely gone. I do not have anything to sell. All orders will be refunded. #palifire

This is the main entrance to will rogers state park, photo taken Tuesday night at 8pm. It’s been 10.5 hours since then, the fire has spread rapidly and furiously. Since then I’ve learned of 10 of my dear friends who have lots their homes. It’s likely that the shop has burned down. My children’s school has burned down. The fire is 0% contained, the palisades is out of water, and planes can’t fly until 8pm tonight because of the high winds. We’re in the thick of it. Please help if you can, LAFD is asking for volunteers to help fight the fire. Literally ANYONE @losangelesfiredepartment #palisadesfire #prayforpalisades #palisadesproud

Harvesting LA is an organization founded by High School Senior Cece Terpening to support fieldworkers and their needs. Cece is committed to spreading awareness about their experiences and collecting donations for them! In an effort to support her cause we will be offering our Sebastian lifeguard wide brim hat at a discounted rate for purchase. All hats purchased will be given directly to the fieldworkers.
